Feminine power is considered as goddess in Indian Vedic texts, are these a joke now?

India is represented by Bharat Mata, a powerful woman figure and now the nation is witnessing the greatest number of sexual abuse cases against women. In the current era I, myself, am a woman who always is in the shadow of fear, paranoid about someone always watching me, following me, talking about me. How did India turn into a country full of sexual offenders and their supporters?

Kolkata considered to be one of the most safest place for women as witnessed the most gruesome sexual assault and murder case. The Abhaya murder case has sparked a huge protest all around India as well as in neighbouring nations like Pakistan. The woman who was raped and killed was a doctor as we all know, a doctor who saves lives had to leave her life and dream for someone else's lust. We are living in a shameful society were people say if a rape happens it's because the girl asked for it. 

The Badlapur incident of the two 4-year-old kids who got sexually assaulted by the school sweeper, can our society defend this too. How do these young kids ask for it? After the Kolkata rape and murder case, in a span of one week there were more than 10+ rape cases reported all around India. And another heated up report came from the state of Kerala, the Hema committee report which revealed the darkest side of the Malayalam film industry. Numerous amounts of sexual assault accusation have risen, and many actresses came forward with their experience pointing out who all were involved, how woman is considered secondary in the field which caused a major silencing of these victims for a long period of time. 

If society is teaching girls to stay safe, then they must educate their sons to respect women as well. We all have seen the protest happening for the Kolkata rape case through social media as well as in multiple parts of India, and the state as passed the anti-rape bill on 3rd September 2024. The bill provides lots of advantages for a rape victim and rape cases, but don't you think it's way too late to bring in such bills?
